Rashad Robinson


Rashad Robinson is the executive director of Color of Change, an online racial justice organization with over a million members. Under his leadership the organization advocates for policies that create a less hostile environment for Black communities.

Mobilizing via new and critical strategies, Robinson and Color of Change have been successful in mobilizing around police accountability, mass incarceration, money bail, and other predominant issues surrounding the criminal justice system.

Prior to his work at Color Of Change, Rashad was Senior Director of Media Programs at GLAAD and has prior experiencing organizing around fair voting.

Robinson has been acknowledged for his work by numerous media outfits, as well as by organizations like ADCOLOR, the United Church of Christ and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation. He currently lives in New York and holds an honorary degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Rashad serves on the boards of Demos and the Hazen Foundation.
